well not really,
spider man has been known since 1963 comics and it had many adaptions in cartoons, comics, movies, tv shows since than,
spider-man 1 (2002) movie is just a unique version by sam raimi (director), which was done the way he saw spiderman on a movie screen
this one, spider man 2012 is based on spider man ultimate comics series, as for fact that spider bites
him and he becomes spiderman, it has always been like that in each adaption
PS: 2012 spider man is based on ultimate comics series, as i mentioned above
